Historic Riverside Cemetery Conservancy will present Where Valor Rests during its annual Spirits in October tour during the weekends of October 26th-29th and November 3rd-5th. Meet some of Macon’s finest heroes as they give a voice to the men and woman who answered the call for our country. Hear their inspiring stories in their own words. From Major Wallace Cole Hogan, Jr. to Major Bobby Marvin Jones, M.D., General Patton’s private pilot and many more.
Tours begin at 6:00 PM and depart from the Gatehouse every 15 minutes. The cemetery asks that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time. Each tour’s final stop will be inside the beautiful Macon Public Mausoleum, with light refreshments.
Spirits in October is not a scary ghost tour. It’s about honoring and sharing the stories of the fascinating people who came before us to make Macon what it is today. The museum shop will have T-shirts, relevant books, gifts and souvenirs. All proceeds benefit the Conservancy’s 501(c)(3).
Ticket are $15.00 general admission.
Children 5 and under are free. Group Rates are available.
