Wreaths Across America 2021

December 18, 2021
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

On December 18, 2021 at noon, Wreaths Across America will be at Riverside National Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

What does it mean to sponsor a wreath? It means you’ll honor an American hero at one of more than 2,800 locations nationwide this year on Wreaths Across America Day. It’s a day that’s been set aside to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor and teach about our veterans: cemeteries, monuments, parks… Anywhere we can pay tribute to their sacrifices.

We can’t do that without your support, though. Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath of hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow from Columbia Falls, Maine will arrive at Riverside Cemetery, where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a fallen hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice of that veteran is never forgotten.

There are several ways you can be involved in this memorable event:
Sponsor wreaths ($15/each), attend the ceremony, and/or volunteer for wreath-laying. Our goal is to have a wreath placed at every Veteran’s grave on December 18th.

Please note that November 29th will be the last day to purchase your wreath(s) for 2021.  If you would like to help honor our Veterans on this special national day by sponsoring a wreath, please click HERE or call our office at (478) 742-5328.
